About Government College (GC), Hisar
The 2nd opening physical counselling of TDC–1/UG - 1 for new admissions will be held on dated 02/09/2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM as per the details.
With the intention of giving students in the neighbourhood access to higher education, Govt. College, Hisar was founded in 1950 in the Hisar district. It is an 'A' grade NAAC accredited HEI and one of the Government of Haryana's Model Colleges. Under sections 2(f) and 12, UGC has recognised it as an associated college (B). Currently, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology Hisar is associated with it. It offers twenty-three courses for eleven undergraduate programmes, including four honours, and six postgraduate programmes to around 5200 students from varied sociocultural backgrounds.
It is operated out of a sizable campus with a built-up area of around 9575.99 square metres, or nearly thirty-four acres. It is located on Rajgarh Road, which runs through the heart of Hisar. The Kurukshetra University in Kurukshetra is connected to it. This college moved to its current site in 1976, with an extensive library, science labs with all kinds of contemporary amenities, and a hostel for female students. Five blocks—the Administrative Block, Arts Block, Science Block, Commerce Block, and Library—make up the campus. This college is among the top ones in Haryana for academics, extracurricular activities, sports, and discipline.

- In this counseling, only those students can participate who have applied for admission and whose names are in waiting list issued by Department on admission portal.
GC Hisar Semester Result 2024
In total, there will be six semesters for undergraduate studies. There are four semesters—two per year—for postgraduate studies. No semester results have yet been released. As soon as they are announced, we'll keep you informed.

Government college provides a residential facility to girls on the college campus named Bharti Girls Hostel. It has 20 rooms with a capacity of 60 girls. The hostel is well equipped with all basic facilities a like Hygienic mess, a Common room(A.C.), LED, Geysers, an Effective water purifier & cooler system. The hostel campus is beautified with a lush green lawn. There is an uninterrupted twenty-four hours of electricity & water supply. The hostel staff is appointed for the smooth functioning of the hostel. Keeping in view the safety of girls, the hostel is under the surveillance of CCTV cameras & security guards.
Physics Lab: The Lab is equipped with various models and different types of apparatus testing materials. The Physics Laboratories have all the equipment in sufficient quantity so that each pupil teacher can perform his practicals individually.
Chemistry Lab: To provide the best knowledge to the chemistry students, our college is strongly committed. Chemistry lab is provided to them with latest equipment & well infrastructure. Lab Attendants are also well experienced to solve problems.
Biology Lab: Bio-students serve the country by providing their treatment facilities. So they need real-life experience. Biology labs help these students to increase their knowledge so that they are able to provide their best services to the Nation. Students will learn practical skills in planning, executing, analyzing, and troubleshooting research protocol. The goal of the biology lab is to expose students to various techniques in Zoology, Botany, and Bio-Technology as well as to prepare them for independence in research settings.
Computer Lab: College has Computer labs with the latest technologies. All the labs are well furnished with good infrastructure & modern facilities.

The first Physical open Counselling was held on July 26, 2023, for admission to Government College Hisar. You will be able to find the merit list on the college’s official website (gchisar.edu.in). On the official website, you have to go to the ‘Notice’ section, from where you will then be able to view the merit list for UG admission.

GC HIsar application form can be filled out from the official website of the Directorate of Higher Education Haryana. The official website link for the application form of GC HIsar is 'https://admissions.highereduhry.ac.in/'. You will need to register as a new student and then log into your account and fill out the required details. The application form will ask for the name of the college, course name, education qualification, caste certificate, and other information. Fill it out and submit the application.

As per the notification released on August 17, 2023, concerning the first open physical counselling, the PG-I session 2023-24 for new admission at Government College Hisar will begin on August 21, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the college campus. The last date for fee deposit, physical counselling and document verification is also August 21, 2023. Hence, you must visit the campus to complete the admission process before the deadline.
